MY DETROIT PLAYERS

My Detroit Players is a super group of musicians, artists and producers formed by Emily Rogers. Slightly different from the traditional band model, the players are able to rotate and have more freedom of involvement.

This particular musical collaboration is supported by United Music Workers recording label. It features two emcees from different countries who face the similar struggles as artists and people. This body of work is also the result of the Detroit Paris connection and collaboration. The music is passionately driven and extremely experimental. Lyrically it speaks to the many world wide who feel oppressed by the infrastructure of greed driven policies and agendas.

Ineffable is Emily Rogers solo album, a body of work that combines the multitude of influences that contribute to her artistic creativity. As an accomplished band leader, she has written an abundance of music for her projects like RIB, Lola Valley, YiN etc, but she steps out on her own with the release of Ineffable. The Album features artists like: Pathe Jassi, T$Money Green, Michiee DeVale, Janice Franco, Lenox “Buppy” Brown, D’Allie and Monica Blaire. It spans genres and conventionality, being compared to industry icons like George Clinton, Frank Zappa and Mike Patton.
